ELECTRIC FLUTE – VOLUME 5a

1. ROCK ADAGIO 2011 Miniature
Stand-alone recording of main theme from 9 minute original.
This Miniature features electric flute re-composition of J.S. Bach from Flute Sonata No.4. The accompaniment is the Lee's chaconne theme in 3 part harmony with rock drums. This miniature is from the final evolution of the piece . The first version is “Rock Adagio 1992”.

2. SLAP FAT HAPPY
Includes samples of Latin percussion of Carlos Campos. Different tempos of percussion are overlaid. Also fragments of the Beatles “Day Tripper” and “Happy Birthday” are used.

3. METAMOPHOSIS
This is the ending to “Nightmare Metamorphosis” commissioned by choreographer Janet Gerson for her modern dance piece, Densities, which she and Lee performed at:

5. ONDINE’S OASIS
The main theme is a variation of Maurice Ravel's “Ondine” from “Gaspard de la Nuit”. The recording uses a loop of Latin percussion by Mario Bauza. It is basis of Lee McClure’s video with subtitles that are a reworking of the poem accompanying Ravel’s piano piece:
